Ms Kealeboga Chibane

 

Position: Board Member  

Ms Kealeboga Chibane has been appointed Board member of the Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI) with effect from the 1st of July 2025. 

Ms Chibane is a distinguished Chartered Accountant and transformational leader in finance, governance, and strategic procurement. With over 14 years of experience spanning public institutions, private sector entities, and multinational operations, she brings a dynamic and future-focused perspective to financial leadership at board level. 

Currently serving as the Head of Finance and Procurement at Botswana Accountancy College, Ms Chibane leads strategic financial planning, enterprise risk management, and value-driven procurement. Her work has been instrumental in reshaping the College’s financial operations — driving automation, strengthening internal controls, and embedding performance-based planning to support long-term institutional sustainability. Her leadership style blends financial expertise with a deep commitment to people development, organisational excellence, and ethical governance. She is known for fostering high-performing teams, building trust with stakeholders, and translating complex financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. 

Ms Chibane’s experience spans key roles at Old Mutual Botswana, Auto Sueco (Nors Group), and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she led initiatives in IFRS implementation, regulatory compliance, cost restructuring, and audit quality. Her ability to navigate both operational and strategic levels makes her a valuable contributor to oversight functions, board committees, and institutional governance. 

Ms Chibane holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from University of Botswana, Fellow membership with the ACCA (UK) and is a certified Associate Certified Professional Accountant (Botswana). She is currently completing an Executive MBA with Sheffield Hallam University and recently graduated from the University of Oxford’s programme in ESG and Sustainable Financial Strategy — affirming her commitment to responsible leadership and sustainable development.
